Andini gives off a bit of that perfectly-coiffed Atlantic Pacific vibe, no?

VOSN Wishlist

Vogue's bi-annual online shopping night hits the interwebz again today starting at midday.  Thank goodness I'm going to Singapore next week and channelling my money into my overseas-shopping/wedding/house/current-obsession-with-aquariums fund, so my little debit card won't take a fatal blow despite my much-welcomed stable income.

Of course that didn't stop me from partaking in a bit of online window-shopping...  And as you can see (apart from all the stuff that revolves around sleeping) a good proportion of my favourite pieces are work/weekend-friendly - definitely the major thing that determines my shopping habits nowadays.  Zimmermann and C&M in an germ-ridden environment you gasp?  Well, welcome to my new mantra, which is "bought it, gotta wear it".  It's a good mental filter if you're trying to practi-cull an overstuffed wardrobe!

In no particular order:

Banjo & Matilda cable knit
Zimmermann dress

What will you be hunting down this VOSN?

You can tell by the Summery shorts & bright hues that I've managed quite the significant lag-time with these photos.  But what the heck, a little reminder of sunshine goes a long way when you've managed to get yourself sick twice in the last 2 months.

Outfit: In the Navy

lefanciulle (9 of 20).jpg

Navy is a really really good colour.  Super versatile and as easy as black.  Navy items are beginning to mount up in my drobe due to this newfound discovery.  (Or is it because I can't justify more black?)

I mean, you've got to agree that navy shoes are just that much more interesting than black ones.  Even PX agrees I should buy these and that is saying something.  When your male counterpart condones a shoe purchase you START THE CARRRR!!!!!

Another nod to the nineties with the camisole-dressing.  Floral and tartan is such a good combo!

Ahh the nineties revival done right.  Indeed, I was a huge fan of sleeveless turtlenecks back in my formative years...

Thrifted ASOS top
Cameo skirt
Country Road bag & sandals

"How's wedding planning going?"

A question I am asked at least three times a week.

The answer?  It is currently not going anywhere because I've sorted the important stuff out and can't be bothered doing the rest right now.  But all in good time - inspiration post to come soon!

I just love seeing Ange's glowing smile at blogger events - it makes the primping and preening totally worth it!

DIY: Quick & Dirty Kokedamas

kokedama list6

Poor (or impatient?) man's bonsai or not, these dangly balls of life are appropriate for showing off (unlike those other dangly balls of life...).  Perfect for greening-up interiors if you choose the correct plants!  Instructions after the jump.

Why is it that the only large black leather tote I can find under a certain price range is this one by Mansur Gavriel?  Sold out worldwide within the blink of an eye and no similar ones anywhere.

Serious life problems, etc etc.

Weekend Hair

So ahh, this post is my attempt at fashionable humour.  And is how I do my hair when I'm trying to make lazy look good and don't feel like a bun.  Note that my hair resides in a bun every working day at the momentum, so this is a style for the weekend.

LeFanch wish you all a happy and peaceful Easter season :)
We both love Easter so will probably use the occasion as an excuse to *gasp* do our hair properly!

Anyway, here is our homegal Bonnie in a cheeky tee.

Sunday Song

Let these two ladies, one of whom is the eternally chic Leighton Meester, serenade you on this Sunday night to the tune of one of my favourite songs.  'Tis definitely worth watching and does not butcher this awesome song.  Who knew Blair *ahem* Leighton could sing!?

On another note (haha!), #hairspiration

Stole the song from Rebecca, source of all cool things.

Lily

It's extremely self indulgent, but I always intended to splurge on an investment item (questionable use of the word investment, yes dad) when I started work.  But then reality hit and when the first pay came, I didn't want to spend it (not to mention real life costs set in).  Now though, it may be time to find the one and you, Lily, have been on my radar for some time now!

The ethics of ridonculously expensive bags are questionable, though.  Or are they?  Is someone getting paid more fairly when you spend half your pay on a bag?  or is a CEO somewhere someday just upgrading from a Porsche to... another Porsche maybe?  If you buy one fancy bag for every 5 medium-ly-fancy bags you would have bought, is that justified?  (then again, who needs 5 bags) (me)

Things to think about folks.

Outfit: Loving Leather

Apologies for the radio-silence of late - I've been settling in to my new job (desk-slave in pyjamas, check!) and abandoning the blogging due to an acute onset of aquarium-obsession.  Google "iwagumi style aquascaping" and prepare to be lost in a tranquil underwater world.  Or just check out my instagram which I've tried hard not to inundate with my latest pets, because we all know one photo is cute but more than four and you should probably just set up a pet-only account.  Anyway, I'm enchanted by how beautiful nature can be without even trying.  Sure beats my morning struggles to turn up to work presentable!

(P.S. looking for more & can't figure out the new layout?  The "+" button to your right leads to the jump.)

Saturday

Are your favourite clothes your going out clothes?  My lazy-day clothes are serious contenders with these disgustingly ragged Levi shorts & an ebay-sourced Zimmerman tank top (that I also wore yesterday) top of the list.

You can tell I've gone a little doodling-crazy with yesterday's 'gram and now this post.  Can't wait for my stylus to arrive so I can stop using my clumsy fingers.

Outfit: On Repeat

Casual leopard print2

This outfit is "so me", pardon the disgusting phrase.  It is though.  No point in wearing something different every single post just to boast how many things in my wardrobe!  I'd be more proud to have less things and to make lots of fun combos :)  Still working on that "less" business...

Outfit: Crisp White

untitled (4 of 10)

We'll I'm not sure what sour grapes I was sucking on the day my sis took these photos, but I sure look downtrodden. So how about we focus on my shirt, hey? This shirt is a recent ridiculous hand-me-down from a friend.  Ridiculous in that I love hand me downs so much, especially when they're this perf.  Almost cannot deal.  Would probs wear this shirt to work if it weren't sheer... and white.  White silk shirts don't mix well with our line of work.  Hahaha I am just imagining the aftermath of that combo.  (Apologies, tired insanity happening here.)
