Travel: Countdown is on!

I caught this crazy bug from my mother that makes me plan a travel wardrobe in significantly more detail than the trip itself.  I can't help spending every spare moment of the day pondering whether my Birks should come to Norway with me or not... I mean please, Birks are so scandi chic, yes?

Lofoten is looking to be a trip highlight on our upcoming holiday.  Nature always looks better in real life so if the photos look like this...

Packing: Sneaking Around Scandinavia

With a trip to Scandinavia in the pipeline, actually less than a month away - oh gosh so much to organise - I'm beginning to wonder what footwear I'll take with me, since there's sure to be plenty of walking but no one wants to look daggy in the capital cities of scandi-chic.  Yes that's correct, trip only partially organised & my thoughts are on my wardrobe!  That definitely comes from my mother.

The options for white sneakers have exploded in recent times, with my initial plan to buy classic converse seeming so boring now that I see the possibilities... Any suggestions for comfortable walking shoes of the white sneaker variety?

A bit of colour and style inspiration for Casa del T - pre-start is on Wednesday so I get to choose all the final details for the house!

Soon couldn't be soon enough.

COS coat
Max Mara knit
Gorman culottes
Country Road shoes

I was so chuffed at how this combo turned out that I shamelessly recycled it a week later after S's engagement party.

Went for a dolphin swim with Rockingham Wild Encounters a couple of weekends ago and it was out of this world.
Highly recommended for unleashing the Ocean Girl within.

KARA backpack

Cycling to work has gotten me all utility-oriented and on the prowl for better looking sportswear and bags.  As a casual (i.e.: non-committed) cyclist though, I didn't really want to get a backpack that I'd only use for pushing pedals.  Why not something suitable for holidays?  For day trips down South? Enter KARA and there's no need to compromise on function if you've got form like this.
I've been obsessed with these KARA backpacks since I laid eyes on them last year, and I so happened to chance upon them at the Opening Ceremony sale...

Freshly Picked Blooms

Untitled

I cannot wait for my own garden.  My plan is to spend every sunny weekend planting, watering and pruning roses with the help of my will-be-husband, then when they bloom our house will be overflowing with jars of roses & greens.  A happy house is a house full of flowers :)

To say that our engagement party was fun would be a massive understatement.  There's nothing like a wedding to gather everyone you love in one place at one time, all ready to celebrate!

We have to thank so many people for helping us plan our special day that precedes the special day.  Naming names would surely leave someone out so thank you, you know who you are.
