Carolina Barbieri at the Elissa Coleman Boutique

Uh oh.  Mother's day is a mere 6 days away and if you're anything like me, you too have not prepared anything to give your mumsy with on such an auspicious occasion.  Well, do I have a (shiny) solution for you!  Scroll down through the pictures to find out how to save that sorry bottom of yours.

If you're a Perthian*, make your way to the Elissa Coleman Boutique at #1 Station Street in Cottesloe - if you make it past the enchanting frocks in the window and get inside the store, you might just be able to get yourself your beloved mother a little piece of classic elegance thanks to Carolina Barbieri.

Handcrafted with gold, semiprecious, and precious stones, Carolina Barbieri's delicate jewellery has caught the eye and won the heart of many a celebrity - yes, Kate Moss included.  Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts and Sarah Murdoch are among the local set who have similarly been enchanted by her range of dainty pieces.

The teardrop-shaped smooth stone earrings are some of Carolina's original designs, and for those with multiple ear-piercings she suggests layering a few different styles to create a one-off look.

"Bubble" rings have also been added to her range, featuring dazzling clusters of rubies and diamonds set in gold.  They are a pretty, elegant step in the opposite direction away from the in-vogue chunky rings of last year (hear that, YSL?).  Given everyone is slowly turning away from hoof-esque platform shoes and slipping their feet into stilettos once again, perhaps our rings should follow suit?  I wouldn't mind starting off the trend with one of these!

And what is Mother's Day without a beautiful little bub to set your hearts a-flutter?

Carolina's jewellery is exclusively stocked at the Elissa Coleman Boutique, with prices starting from around $200.  (If you're lucky enough and the offer is still standing by the time you admit defeat and drag yourself to Cottesloe, you might still be able to get 25% off!  No super-cute babies included though.)

Many thanks to Carolina and Elissa (pictured above) for chatting to me and letting me photograph in the store.
Thanks also to Nina for setting it all up!

Well, what are you waiting for?
Your mum will be thrilled.

xx T

  4. It seems like you've provided two names: "Carolina Barbieri" and "Elissa Coleman". If you could provide more context or clarify your request, I'd be happy to assist you further.
