WA Designer Collections brought together a huge amount of local talent into one bumper runway show!

Above is the cutest opening fellow at Little Gracie, but click on to see more detailed shots of LG & all the other designers in the show who represent the future fashion leaders of our great state.  Full Flickr set here.
Be warned, this is a photo heavy post!

Tindale put the WA Designer Collections show off to a strong start.  The draping, beautiful textured fabrics & rich colours were stunning.  "It can only be downhill from here" we thought, but boy were we wrong ;)

Alushia Sanchia is not only a lovely lady, but an amazing local jewellery designer.  Her rings, necklaces, bracelets & other pieces were complemented perfectly by tribal outfits & crazy headgear.  I think it might be time to add to our sad little one-peice Alushia Sanchia collection...

This show was the first we had seen of Neleh & Heath.  Perhaps we live under a rock?  Who knows.  The garments ranged from simple tshirt dresses to a zip up leather shirt dress.  It was nice to see the models wearing flats!

Peppermint Milk was just so CUTE!  This local label was quite a hit with its girly dresses, floral crowns & large bows.  A wedding gown with a rose-covered train was an amazing note for Peppermint Milk to finish on.

Martini & Coz had a leather skirt & dress that we now have our eye on (perhaps a future DIY?).

Monster Alphabets showed a variety of black dresses & monochrome ensembles.  Great for someone who enjoys a bit of New York-style dressing.

Oh Betty Tran.  You money stealer, you!
The Betty Tran collection was just superb.  We don't like to rave (or go to raves for that matter, but that's another story), but her collection was the highlight of the WA Designer show.  The block colours & simple but interesting cuts were genius and we will be racing in to buy that asymmetrical hem skirt when it is available!

On A Whim is a collection we can see ourselves wearing on a hot Summer day to a picnic.  The models wore cute retro sunnies, carried vintage-style purses & looked pretty happy to be sporting these comfy-casual outfits.

Catini Designs featured some interesting colour combinations we would never have thought worked, but did!  The origami-like pleating combined with the draping made for some really unusual (in a good way) items!

Wild Horses
The work of Wild Horses should need no introduction.  If it does, go & educate yourself, gosh! ;)
These jewellery pieces & embellishments made for a really lively, playful show.

Ange Lang stunned the crowd with her signature column dresses, accessorised with demure half-caps. We both loved the collection, including the way it was styled.

Anna Excell, along with Betty Tran (above), are planning on making me broke for the next long while.  As Kim probably noticed by our actual gasps (yes, how embarrassing), Anna Excell's designs were right up our alley.  Bright silks, orange and pink monochrome ensembles, pom pom earrings... it was almost too good to be true.

Last of all, Little Gracie, the darling of WA fashion for sure.  If only we could include all the photos of her dresses, as they are serious eye candy!  Don't forget there are more on our Flickr set here.

That completes this humungous post!

And you know what?  There are more PFF posts to come in the next few days, then back to normality.

We hope your weekends are going well :)
