In My Holiday Handbag

Having a perpetually-packed bag means I can get out and cram as many adventures as possible into these holidays, between staying at home to finish my diving study and Japan trip planning.  Some packing tips for impromptu shenanigans with your bestie:

1. Bring a notebook to jot down ideas & schemes for world domination
2. BB cream - light coverage for post-beach swims
3. Avene Cicalfate cream is the perfect thick moisturiser for those with crappy skin (like mine!).  Don't let bad rashes ruin your holiday adventures, or your holiday photos!
4. Marina Ambrosia 24k gold intensive repair eye mask for when you've got 15 minutes to yourself (super hydrating & doesn't give me a rash? I think that calls for some sort of celebration)
5. A bottle of water for on-the-go hydration!  Brita now sells bottles like these if you're a filtered-water lover

What are your holiday handbag essentials?

  1. You're so lucky you can pack light. When I was little I'd pack things like rope & a million bandaids just when going to the shops lol I don't do that now but the excessiveness of my load has carried over to my handbag with things like a ten different lotions for "just in case".
I've never hear of Avene Cicalafate but it sounds interesting & I'm going to look into it!

    1. Hahaha Shann I just can't deal with carrying so much - I always nip out of the house with just my phone, keys and wallet, then realise I could have used a bit more!
The Avene range is available at Priceline and it's some French(?) brand which makes stuff for people with eczema/psoriasis/dermatitis etc, but can be used by anyone. It's quite gentle, but I find the cicalfate cream is nice and thick, and good for when you've gone and gotten yourself covered in a rash (a common occurrence for me).
