TPFF: Future Runway - Eco Design

lefanciulle (20 of 74).jpg

Oh hey!  A billion photos later and multiple naps on the couch, and I present to you the LAST FUTURE RUNWAY POST.  It's eco-design, and I'm quite sure my green footprint this week has been anything but eco-friendly.  However, thank goodness there's a bunch of mindful upcoming designers to pick up the slack.

Last photo-essay for the student runway after the jump.

You don't have to be a rocket surgeon to know the fashion industry wasteful - just think of the cheap wares being flogged every day by chain stores.  With land-fill full of things that just don't last one wash (let alone one wear), it's a bit sad to see this is where we are being driven to.  But if you're mindful of what you fund with your purchases, you can still get the goods even if you don't partake in thrifting.  In this light, I really appreciate that eco design is considered a category important enough to warrant its own runway show.  Although it might not be as extravagant as evening-wear or costume design, I think I'd much prefer a healthy world worth sharing, don't you think?
