Outing: To Market, To Market

Perth has been having the most beautiful Spring weather lately, so going for walks around the new neighbourhood is on the cards morning, evening or night.

Last weekend my new husband (!!) and I went for a jaunt to the farmers markets to buy some healthy goods and blooms to freshen our slightly unfurnished house.  It was the perfect morning for a simple outfit plus quirky accessories and seeing as the kind people at Jord sent us this Fieldcrest watch to play with, I thought it would be the perfect complement for a simple denim + birks situation.  With my ongoing love for natural materials and neutral colours, can you imagine my thoughts on this light wood watch?  #soscandi

Thanks JORD for cool new toy.  Wood watches are a fun addition to a watch collection, perhaps your man needs a Christmas present soon? ;)

So you might be wondering where on earth we vanished to, but I think S's wedding is a good excuse to get back into things here on the blog!

Local: The Flour Shop

Untitled

The Flour Shop is what happened when two local girls wanted to combine the very best things in life... cake & flowers.
As an end-of-birthday-week gift, I ordered a bunch this weekend for my motherbear and oh boy it was gorgeous.  Almost like it had been picked straight from someone's blooming garden, with just the right amount of structure.

The only regret?  I should have ordered a cake too.

Travel: Scandi Blooms

Blooms of NorwayBlooms of NorwayBlooms of Norway

Scandinavia was heaven for a flower child like me & PX was super patient when I stopped every 20m to take a photo, ha!  Lucky me.  Enjoy these photos of beautiful creation that, really, is everywhere, but we notice more when we're away from home.

Travel: Copenhagen Hood

Untitled

PX & I have always placed a lot of importance on our travel accomodation & we (him more, me less) do quite a bit of searching for the right place in the cities we visit, regardless of the duration. Not that this means five star hotels... In fact, it usually means not five star hotels at all. Our first residence was a tiny student apartment in Vesterbro, Copenhagen and it could not be more perfect slash scandi cool. A home away from home is the aim & this one set the bar quite high!

Wow, what a rare occasion to have a photo of T & I together.  In the wake of our Hello May obsession (forgive us, it really is the year of love here) we decided to chuck the cover pose on the eve of the party.  Slightly belated photo posting, but its my blog and I'll cry if I want to, et cetera et cetera

Not sure if you noticed how coordinated we were in our last post, but let me assure you, while it was accidental, it was certainly not the first time we've dressed uncannily matching.  I maintain T has a spycam and copies me, but this is so far an unproven fact.  Perhaps we both just have exceptional taste, hohoho.

“There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing”

Alfred Wainwright

Not that Perth really has any bad weather at all anyway... anything under 10 degrees Celsius justifies cold weather gear.  T & I took the chance of evening shifts to eat breakfast and take a stroll by the ocean on one of Perth's coldest mornings (ahh! single figures!!) and captured the joy that we call Winter.

I caught this crazy bug from my mother that makes me plan a travel wardrobe in significantly more detail than the trip itself.  I can't help spending every spare moment of the day pondering whether my Birks should come to Norway with me or not... I mean please, Birks are so scandi chic, yes?

Packing: Sneaking Around Scandinavia

With a trip to Scandinavia in the pipeline, actually less than a month away - oh gosh so much to organise - I'm beginning to wonder what footwear I'll take with me, since there's sure to be plenty of walking but no one wants to look daggy in the capital cities of scandi-chic.  Yes that's correct, trip only partially organised & my thoughts are on my wardrobe!  That definitely comes from my mother.

The options for white sneakers have exploded in recent times, with my initial plan to buy classic converse seeming so boring now that I see the possibilities... Any suggestions for comfortable walking shoes of the white sneaker variety?

A bit of colour and style inspiration for Casa del T - pre-start is on Wednesday so I get to choose all the final details for the house!

I was so chuffed at how this combo turned out that I shamelessly recycled it a week later after S's engagement party.
