Greenery

Is there a better way to brighten up a dreary Winter than wear green pants every second day?  There isn't.  Glad you agree.
Seriously though, this green pant obsession is being taken to new levels.  [see here & here & here to start.]

Also it seems, on viewing these photos, that I had a serious bout of the awkward-half-smile, accompanied by the sleepy-eyes-half-shut... hence the lack of more photos!

Happy Birthday! STYLEAID 2012

Le Fanciulle (8 of 115).jpg

If you hadn't already gathered from our twitter & instagram feed, on Friday night, we were thrilled to attend one of Perth's biggest fashion fundraising events - STYLEAID!  In its fifteenth year, the event was a huge success with thousands of dollars raised for the WA AIDS Council.
Happy 15th birthday, STYLEAID :)

Lots of photos in this post, so click on the jump to see a selection of runway shots!

Like a Lion

Le Fanciulle (5 of 11).jpg

Why hello there.

Crisp mornings + no patients to see = bring out the fur.

I was wonderfully snug in my snood (one of our first DIYs on this blog!), even on the long early-morning walk I took from the free parking to the hospital.  Looking like a lion was usually reserved for my over-seas trips to cold countries, but since Perth has finally picked up on the fur-trend, I can now snood-up and not get strange stares from the general public.

Restyle: T Behind the Scenes #2

Le Fanciulle (8 of 11).jpg

These op shopped printed pants were hanging in the Restyle wardrobe & Emily was so keen for someone to wear them.  Lucky for her, a miniature person called T came along & not only fit them, but looked fab as well. (This is S writing, not T.  Promise!)

Restyle: S Behind the Scenes #2

Le Fanciulle (7 of 17).jpg

We were so glad to have taken some behind the scenes shots at our Restyle shoot, as lots of close up details were lost in the final photo.  The hair, makeup & jewellery details are shown in the photos below.

If I learnt one thing from that day, is that bull clip = number one stylist trick to make things stay put!  An important life lesson for sure ;)

These jeans have barely left my legs since I came at them with a pair of scissors & razor blade!  You will be seeing more of them during the 30 Days, for sure.

I wish I could have taken this blazer & this top home.  Maybe I'll invest in the dress, pant or jacket version of the print?  (haha, invest...)

Restyle: T Behind the Scenes #1

The clever girls in charge of hair (from Renos on St Quentin) managed to create pink hair looks for both of us, but still very different styles.  T's sleek locks were thanks to some serious flat ironing.

And now for one of my favourite shots of T during this whole Restyle-mania... (Iris Apfel wannabe)

The awesome (but dangerous!) spikes on T's DIY vest were not really captured in the final Restyle promo shot, but look out for more detailed pictures throughout August.

Restyle: S Behind the Scenes #1

Now that you've seen behind the scenes shots of all the other 30 Days of Restyle bloggers, it is time to remind you what our faces look like!  Starting with S' hair & makeup details.

Le Fanciulle (2 of 17).jpg
The humungous up-do began by blowdrying mousse into each strand of hair to create volume. (Lots of volume).

I absolutely love this pink hair & would be so tempted to do something permanently crazy with my hair if it weren't so inappropriate for hospital!  Pity the Summer holidays are being spent in the hospital too, haha. (Although I'm quite excited for that, but keep it on the down low.)

Check back later for even more behind the scenes shots.  This Restyle business is making this blog go craaaazeh!!!

Meet the Team - Behind the Scenes

Le Fanciulle (2 of 17).jpg

Of course, the shoot wouldn't have been possible without the amazing team behind it all.  So now that you've seen the majority of what went on behind the scenes for the other bloggers involved, you can now have a glimpse of the people who made it possible!

Le Fanciulle (13 of 17).jpgLe Fanciulle (8 of 17).jpg

Hair was done by the team from Renos on St Quentin, who did a fantastic job including pops of colour into many of the looks on the day!

The girls from Lauren Wood looked after all our makeup requests!  Check out each blogger's feature from this week for close-ups of each makeup look.

Le Fanciulle (9 of 17).jpg

Emily Howlett headed up the styling work for the day, making sure every outfit represented each blogger and showed off their op-shopped treasures.

Mikey Walton was one of Em's assistants - he's the resident stylist for Westfield Western Australia!  With a keen eye for accessorising and a deft hand with the bull-clips, he definitely made Em's work much easier!

Gemma Rule was the videographer, capturing the action behind the scenes - we'll let you know the exciting news about when the footage will be shown in the near future!  Penny Lane took the lovely photos, and was wonderful to work with, making everyone feel at ease in front of the camera.

Finally, let us introduce you to the lovely Renee Glastonbury - the brains behind the Restyle project for this year!
Really, who else could herd 10 bloggers into a room and keep the chaos to a minimum?

Le Fanciulle (15 of 17).jpg

Thanks again to the team who helped make the photo shoot day an absolute breeze!

We hope you've enjoyed the crazy amount of our behind-the-scenes posts so far, and we hope we've gotten you all excited for the month that will be the 30 Days of Restyle in August.

Check back tomorrow for our final BTS posts, featuring us!  Have you missed our silly faces this week?  :P
