Oh hey it's Friday and we've officially finished our first full week of work!
Alright, to be perfectly honest it was full of lectures & workshops, thus rendering it identical to university. But at least we were paid for it! Finally some money for kale?
Solomon's Cafe in Highgate has long been on our must-visit-asap list for its hipster organic qualities. Behind the fashernn facade that we have worked so hard to cultivate (not really, I doubt we've fooled anyone), we are both serious health nerds at heart and are drawn to cafes that don't serve the usual boringly unhealthy fare.

T ordered the beetroot crepes, which were so delicious and a cool colour, haha.
S ordered the pumpkin & coconut pancakes, another delicious but verrryyyy filling dish.
Not a "healthy" tasting dish in sight, phew!
The service was great, although I have to say we were two of the very few people there at 7.30am on a weekday, so it's hard to judge. A waitress to patron ratio of almost 1:1 usually does good service make ;)
xx S
*paid?
ReplyDeletei went there for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it - had the vege nachos. yum. however, i was turned off by the price - esp $10 juices!
reckless abandon
Oops haha. Clearly the new degree has deteriorated both my legible scrawl & my spelling.
DeleteNoted the juice price was slightly less than Bread In Common, which we had visited the day before - by comparison it was alright, but still pretty steep. Oh well, that's Perth for you...
