Student Runway showcases WA's next generation of fashion talent, selecting items from the top fashion students of our state. Click on for more photos & see the whole set here.
The event began with a prelude by The Carton, three local designers (Nicole Marrington, Jessica Hogg & Samuel Donaldson) who won a space in Carillon City to develop their SS12/13 collections.
Nicole Marrington
Collection inspired by the nomadic people of Mongolia & their animals.
Jessica Hogg
An eclectic collection inspired by art deco and influenced by her late grandmother.
Samuel Donaldson
Inspired by the rawness and fluidity of the desert and the uniqueness of the weather within the elements of sand, rock & fire.
The body of the show, with 4 main categories, then began.
Women's RTW
Winner - Amy Webb (WAAPA)
Men's RTW
Winner - Tim Watson (Curtin University)
Contemporary Eveningwear
Winner - Nicole Frahn (Polytechnic West)
Eco Design
Winner - Lauren Sims (Curtin University)
Costume Couture
Winner - Aqeela Isaacs (Challenger Institute)
