Wowee this weekend has been all about weddings! Today we're off to a contemporary Indian wedding in celebration of Riti & Shanek - to those lovebirds, we wish you all the happiness in the world as you embark on your journey as a married couple!
For those who aren't as lucky as us to feast on Indian treats today, feast your eyes here on some wedding inspiration. Yesterday was the First Comes Love fair - an initiative of local creative hub Studio Bomba, it was a whimsical wedding-planner's extravaganza held at the rustic grounds of St George's College. In opposition to the traditional format of the more commercialised bridal expos, the fair showcased plenty of exhibitors with an alternative aesthetic - many with their fingers in the Perth fashion-set pie as well. The end result? A breathtakingly gorgeous (and somewhat overwhelming) array of possibilities. So many flowers! So much letterpress! Be still, my heart.
With a vague date set for early 2015, I was there to put my feelers out & scout for more resources (success!). Brosephs & brosephinas, if S isn't around to keep me in check prepare yourselves for the most bloggery-hipstery wedding you could possibly imagine. You know I don't do things the normal way, & this event only served to add fire to the indie flame. Sorry Simon, but you said I'm in charge of planning!
I jest.
But not really.
Check out the full (warning: very long) post after the jump - if you want more details on each of the exhibitors I took photos of, just click on the photos to get to their websites!
For even more photos (how is that even possible you say??) the photoset is here. If you're an exhibitor & you'd like any of the pictures I took, drop me an email & I'll set you up with the hi-res images!
Now to finish med school & start earning money for all this grown-up business.
x T
I look forward to receiving an invite in 2015. Always happy to offer advice too bahaha

ReplyDeleteA fair about weddings, cool idea. Only Australian wedding planners can participate or someone else also can?
