Happy 1st Birthday Betty Tran!

All work and no play makes S & T terrible bloggers.  Which is why this post is coming to you not in our usual 24hr turn-around time, but a whole four days later!  Poor form, yes, but I assure you we're working hard on our latest rotation so we can be hospital slaves next year and actually be remunerated for it.

On Wednesday night, we joined a hoard of four-hundred Betty Tran fans and descended upon the dressed-up and decked-out Brookfield Place for a night of entertainment in celebration of her store's first birthday.  Black-&-white clad guests sipped on wine and nibbled on canapés whilst Clara Helms sang.  The celebration was going well - so well, in fact, that they were running ahead of schedule (causing much confusion & anguish, especially when the drinks were withheld until 9pm).  With bated breath, many a fashionista and their arm-candy beau held their ground in anticipation for the runway shows as the clock ticked onwards.  Thankfully, their wait was not in vain as they were rewarded with not one, but two shows, featuring Betty's ready-to-wear and evening gown collections.  And all before 11pm, which was just enough time for us to get ourselves home and into bed for a 6am wake-up call.  Who needs sleep anyway?
