Rings on my fingers & bells on my toes

Caught myself almost clicking "confirm order" on this Ausonia ring from Molten Store - an absolute treasure trove!  It's been added to my growing wish-list, which has been spurned on by lonely study times.

The raw, artisan finish is quite like that YSL ring (you know the one), but I do believe I like this one better.  I think it's got more of that 'understated cool' look, don't you reckon?

Have a look at some of the photos from Estelle Deve's look-book on Il Etait Une Fois, and shop online here for "other-wordly jewellery, curious fragrances and elegant leather goods".  I know I am well and truly sold.

Sorry for the super-short post, but it's back to the books for me now...
A collage of the rings I've been eyeing over the last 2 weeks will also be up soon!

Quilted

I saw the picture above (from the October issue of Paris Vogue) on Chicmuse, and it reminded me that I hadn't in fact shown you my favourite purchase from a while ago, via the one and only ASOS - Discover Fashion Online (yes, you really can).

Well, technically I have shown you them here...  But I'll show them to you again.
(because I can, and therefore can also include a creepy clone-photo of myself, just for funsies).

Which one is the real Trish???
Asos leather shorts, Cue top, Jeffrey Campbell 'El Carmen' shoes

These quilted leather shorts will be my Spring staple (all 1.5 months left of it), since it'll be far too hot in Summer to wear leather all the time.  They're also actually a dark metallic purple, rather than black in the collage above.  Which is perfect, since you all know I am a sucker for anything purple...

Happy Sunday!

My Latest (Bright) Loot

Like we said in this post, hot pink (Colour of the Month!) is definitely a colour to mix & match with other brights.  Even neon, perhaps.  This random belly close-up below is a quick one for the sake of showing my new belt from Asos that arrived today - rest assured you will get proper photos eventually!

I think black jeans or even something bright on the bottom (turquoise? orange? red!?) would complete the outfit. Or maybe I should tone it down...my sister A asked "Where's the rave?"
Thrifted oversized pink silk shirt, Asos neon belt.

I'm going to be needing some new shades this Summer with all the bright clothes accumulating in my wardrobe.  Any excuse to buy new things!

Speak the Truth in Love

As much as we focus on style, photography, food & other important things (!!), we also began this blog to celebrate Perth events & local talent.  So without rambling on, this is a beautiful song by Timothy Nelson (a local Perth boy our age) called "Speak the Truth in Love" which won West Australian Music Industry Association's 2011 Song Of The Year award.  He is so young & so talented!

Check here for some more of his songs

If you know some other barely-known cutesy love songs, suggest away.

Tutti Frutti!

Got bored writing about creaky broken knees and hips, so I quickly popped onto the Gorman online shop to see their new Summer offerings.  Which are, as expected, pretty darn wicked.  Now it's no big surprise that S and I both enjoy a bit of Gorman's distinctly Melbourn-ian flavour (see our other tributes to Gorman here), and it's no exception with their latest arrivals, which are indeed a bit kooky but cool.

Enter the tutti frutti print - fashioned into a tee, pant, skirt, dress, shirt, jacket, and even shoes!  A new crazy-print pant to incorporate into my wardrobe perhaps?  It's no secret (or maybe it is) that the cut of their pants is quite the bomb - they suck you in in all the right places (no need for control-tops here).

I'm also admiring quite a lot of their current collection, which you can purchase online with free shipping!  Below are my favourite picks:

All stock available here

Gorman is releasing their swimwear collection soon as well, which you can see here as well.  (it's pretty swell!)

Also, today they're having a 20% off sale!!! (online and in-store)
GET IN THERE.

Bring on summer already!

Holiday DIY Inspiration

NobodyKnowsMarc has become one of my favourite streetstyle blogs and is a treasure trove of DIY inspiration. This picture is definitely being filed into my holiday to-do list. Feathers & beads together? Yes please!

Picture from NobodyKnownMarc

T & I are both currently suffering what is commonly known as Examophobia, a severe and crippling condition that we hope to recover from in a few weeks time!!

Nailing it! (with more Med Dinner goodness)

Hey Cindy - I found a photo of S & myself (full-body, posing - check!):

And also another photo of our pretty lady-friends!

Both taken by PX

*sigh* Another med dinner has blitzed past us, heralding the start of the exam period (which, for S and I, is in two weeks!!! Argh!).  I only finally managed to get these off the other day (Sally Hansen Salon Effects - see below).  There was minimal chipping 6 days after I put them on as well!

~$8 for a box of 16 "real nail-polish strips" - not cheap, but who can say no to zero drying time?

How do I make my nails beautiful, oh wise and wonderful Sally Hansen??
Find the closest fit with one of the nail strips.  Peel off the backing, fit it onto your nail, then rub it into place.  Rinse and repeat x 9.  Use the midget nail-file to shape it around the edges of your nail, et voila!  For someone who seems to always smudge her nail polish whilst it's drying, these are the perfect solution.
Highly recommended - I will be using these again next year!

Have you tried these before?
xx T

Also, just a heads up that S and I won't be posting as much as we'd like (i.e. every day) for the next few weeks thanks to exams rearing their ugly heads again.  But do drop in every so often - we don't neglect our little blog very much!

Variations on a Theme

T's glittered boots from this post have surely caused a stir and my sister A was no exception. The day after  she saw them, off she went to Rubi Shoes to purchase a pair to DIY herself.

The front view looks quite normal to the non-crafty eye!
The side view is where the party is. Perhaps ankle parties are the new fad? ;)
